About… MarinaMazzaMuto Illustration
MarinaMazzaMuto is an illustration project that explores the extra-conscious roots of the drawing act. In a current scenario where the perceptive phenomenology overwhelms us with an uncontrolled volume of inputs, sub-consciousness becomes the fundamental processing instrument of reality. It is able to merge dreamlike and wakeful, abstract and concrete, virtual and physical. Like an existential waste compactor mixes it all together without permission and gives it back to us.
Marina Mazzamuto Carlotti is an architect, scenographer, singer, actress and illustrator based in Palermo, Italy. Her interdisciplinary educational and professional path has crossed different geographic locations: Barcelona, New York, Santiago de Chile, Beijing, London.
